You send one sheet

One blank operator round, shift log or handover sheet, as a photo, PDF or spreadsheet. Blank means no readings, no names, no plant data we should not have. Email it to hello@amberhold.com.

We rebuild it, privately

Your round goes onto a private Amberhold site nobody else can see. Your points, your order, your units, your limits if the sheet shows them. Usually within three working days.

You get a short recording

Sixty to ninety seconds: an operator walking your round on a phone, a reading outside its band being flagged and kept with a note, the board that shows what is due and what was missed, and the record that comes out the other end.

You decide

Watch it with the people who walk the round. If it is not for you, that is the end of it and we will say so ourselves if we think it is not a fit. If it is, the next step is a pilot on your site.

What the recording shows, and what it does not

Everything in the recording is the live product doing what it does today, on your round. You will see:

  • · Your points in your order, with the previous reading and the expected band beside each one.
  • · A reading outside its band being flagged, kept, and the operator's note kept with it. The number is never changed by the software.
  • · A point skipped with a reason, recorded as skipped, not left blank.
  • · The board: what is due, what is overdue, what was missed and has not yet been acknowledged.
  • · The completed round, opened from history: what was recorded, in the words, units and limits that applied when it was walked, even if the round has been edited since.
  • · The record itself, attributable to a person and a time, in a database that rejects edits and deletes. Corrections add a new entry; the original stays.
  • · If your sheet includes an inhibit, bypass or isolation, it appears as a temporary control with a reason, a person and a per-shift check.

Straight talk on what it will not show:

  • · Walking a round needs a connection today. The app opens without one and shows the dated plan, but recording a reading is a server write. Offline capture is in development and we will not film it until it ships.
  • · It does not judge whether a reading is acceptable, and it does not make a site compliant. Competent people do that. It keeps what they found.
  • · It does not replace your permit-to-work system, your written scheme of examination or your maintenance system. It sits alongside them.
